SCKCB Minutes of January 18, 2006

The meeting was called to order at approximately 7:17 p.m. at the Alive Center, 1818 31 W Bypass in Bowling Green, KY. Members present were Ron and Palma Milliman, Kristen Wilson, and Max and Sue Robinson. Also present was a guest and prospective new member, Nancy Imran.

Secretary, Palma Milliman, read the minutes of our previous meeting, which was November 17, 2005. They were unanimously approved as read. Max Robinson gave the treasurer's report. We currently have a net of $4,109.39 in our bank account. This report was also unanimously approved as read.

Old business: Ron gave us the latest information on the PSA campaign, which was suppose to have been presented at our previous meeting by a WKU journalism/advertising student. Palma read some of the demo scripts, which were sent to us by the instructor of the project. It was decided that perhaps some of the demos could work with a little more editing.

New business: Ron informed us that he had been invited to speak at the Vette City Lions Club meeting on January 26, 2006 at the BBQ Connection Restaurant in Bowling Green. A possible exchange of liaison memberships with the Lions Club was discussed and potential benefits that could be derived from such an association was also mentioned.

Special Program: President Milliman described some of the similarities and differences between the ACB and NFB, and how the two organizations were organized differently. He further explained several special benefits/programs associated with ACB, such as, scholarship programs, ACB radio, the power of numbers in civil and legislative actions, and the MMS (Monthly Monetary Support) program. Sue Robinson suggested that the MMS program be presented again at our next meeting, since our attendance at this meeting was rather small.

Our meeting was concluded with Ron playing a demo of Lisa McKinley's Commercial Demos, which were e-mailed to him by Lisa. They were really good, and everyone was impressed!

The meeting was adjourned at 9:00 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Palma Milliman, Secretary
